Discernment Counseling

For couples on the brink; when you don't know where to go from here.

Discernment counseling is designed for couples where one partner is leaning out of the relationship and uncertain about continuing, while the other is leaning in and hoping to repair it. This structured 1–5 session process helps couples gain clarity and confidence about which of three paths to take:  working on the relationship, moving toward divorce, or taking time to decide.

Divorce & Separation Counseling for Couples

This work supports couples who have decided to separate or divorce, with a focus on communication, decision-making, and reducing unnecessary conflict during a high-stakes transition. The goal is to support thoughtful separation and emotional steadiness, particularly when couples will remain connected through co-parenting.

Co-Parenting Counseling

Co-parenting counseling supports parents who want to reduce conflict and make child-focused decisions after separation or divorce. Informed by advanced coursework in Parenting Coordination through the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts (AFCC), this work helps parents establish healthier communication patterns and greater long-term stability.

Gottman Method Couples Counseling

For couples who have chosen to work on their relationship, this Gottman-based work focuses on reducing destructive conflict patterns called the Four Horsemen (criticism, defensiveness, contempt, and stonewalling) and strengthening emotional connection. The goal is compassionate but intentional and skills-based work that helps couples interrupt negative cycles, communicate more effectively, and create a more loving, connected partnership.
